So I spoke to numerous Mini Cooper sales associates in parts from Mini Parts Direct, Mini SF Service Center and Seattle Mini Parts. They all said the same thing that the JCW Retrofit Sport Brakes wont fit onto my 2015 Mini Cooper S Paceman because some part has to be made to actually fit.

I have seen the retrofit kits have said for years that they fit all models until now they say they won’t fit. Is this whole thing true and if so what are the best recommendations for sport brakes that won’t break the bank as in $4000?

Please let me know.

 

Sorry they are right the JCW brake kits aren't made to fit your R61.

Best bet is to go aftermarket with a kit made for it like our Wilwood kit.

The factory JCW brakes on the front of the R61 actually are the same size, just come in red. So they aren't a real upgrade.

 

@WayMotorWorks on the actual Wilwood site they don’t have an option at all to choose my Paceman let alone a Countryman. Are you 💯 sure that will even fit a Mini Coop Paceman S, or a Countryman S?

 

The kit I linked is specially put together for a R60 and R61 so I'm 100% sure it will work. Wilwood doesn't make a kit, we just use some of their parts to make it as they are good parts.
The only issue can come with wheel clearance as the calipers are big.
