Rain sensor gel pack burst AGAIN

The gel pack lens in my rain sensor burst last year when it got cold. MINI fixed it under warranty, all was good. Today we got down to -20*f and it burst again. Anyone else having the same issue? Any other fixes besides replacing it?

So that's what that goo is running down the windshield. Mine is leaking also. Still under warranty so I guess I will have to contact the dealer.

Mine was replaced about 5 times. I have a 2015 F56 and it was garaged most times. Dealer eventually replaced the windshield. It's not leaking any more. I don't know if it was really actually fixed or if they slapped on some silicone caulking. I hope it doesn't cause any problems after the warranty is up. Warranty is over on mine in Nov 2018.

5 times! 😳 I guess twice isnt that big a deal after all. First time they tried to tell me it was glue melting. Last i checked glue isn’t Oily, and definitely doesnt melt when its below zero outside.

Probably due to the minimal value of the repair? And/or not drivetrain relate?
