Mirror caps don’t fit

New Mini owner here. 2011 Cooper Hatch, with non-folding side view mirrors. Got som OEM Black Jack mirror covers.

Passenger side fits perfectly. Drivers side won’t work at all. It appears that the mirror is larger than stock. The clips for the replacement cover are oriented differently as well.

Any one have have a clue?

Sorry, no idea what's going on. My experience is limited to the R56 power fold mirrors. Is the bottom cover from an F56?

Bwah? Where did you get hem from? Used? Dealer? I would try to return them.

We got them from a dealer, and subsequently damaged the left side when the clips didn’t line up. I ordered an entire replacement mirror assembly from Rock Auto and it was the same story , too large for the replacement covers to fit ( $75+ Returned for refund). I suspect that the previous owner had replaced the left side mirror assembly and used one of the “one size fits most” units as well. It wouldn’t make any difference to the casual observer. Then I went directly to a Mini dealer and bought a bare replacement arm with no mirror or cover ($275) That worked. It was smaller, and the clips aligned perfectly.
