Good to see a GLH is still a ralllye car. I co-drove a new GLH in 86 in stock class. Im from Louisiana and mostly drove in the northeast. This was when Buffum and Millem was on top. The 24 hr POR rallye was always a great one. If I can find a pic of my car I post.

 

Thanks everyone for the kind words! It was a wild weekend. We got TONS of rain and it made the roads a total mess. However, I'm sure some good pictures of us blasting through water holes will show up.

All went well and with our finishes this weekend, we think we have secured 1st place in our region. In addition, I managed 2nd place in our division for drivers and Stacy will get 1st place in our division for co-drivers. Pretty cool!

The downside is that the car is missing at high rpm now and so it may be a long off-season. Hopefully it's something simple like the MAP sensor or trigger in the distributor.

wdfoto: Cool!! Who did you co-drive for? Was it Henry Krolikowski? Or Dave Clark? Or Doug Shepard? Or ????? The Omni is a great rally car. Lots of fun and easy to maintain. We plan to keep it for quite awhile.

Thanks, Puck! It shouldn't be too bad. The fixing it part is easy (as I know that car like the back of my hand now). The hard part is coming up with the money to buy the parts.

Turbo Work (~$???)
Suspension Work (~$250)
New Tires (~$800)

But I guess I should expect it...racing is expensive.
