Portland OR Independent Mini Tech?

I gave my daughter my 2012 MSC and she will be living in Portland for the next year.

Please provide me with any recommendations for a Mini tech for routine maintenance and just in case issues.

Thanks in advance!

I used Sebastian Autobahn Motorwerks 503 643 0105, a few times. Knows what he is doing and pricing was good.

Matrix is more of a high end shop and very expensive.

Pacific motorsports was ok, but I didn't get all warm and fuzzy going to them if it matters.

Some love DynaSport, they screwed up a simple oil change on my BMW and I never went back.

If it is routine stuff like oil changes, you can get in and out of the Dealership pretty quick at a decent price, with all the coffee you can drink and a free car wash.

Thanks so much for the direction!

I'll check out Sebastian when I visit next month. If I have time, I'll try to get to the dealer.

I believe an oil change will be due and overall inspection and any proactive needs.

My kid offered the MCS to my wife & I to take up to Vancouver Island from Portland (and back!) but I think that I may just get a SUV and be fully prepared for all conditions. If it was any other season I would take her up on it...dang...

Good to know that the local dealer is also competent. (My experience with the Mini dealer in Corte Madera, CA is excellent; they have performed all service (except plugs/coils & other a few other minor maintenance DIYs) on this vehicle to my satisfaction, but I digress...)

I'll report back my impressions...cheers!

George @ Madness Motorsports is good, just booked up often.

Ryan @ Dynasport is good but pricey and not the easiest to get to ("sketchy" part of town imo and little parking).

Matrix is pricey

I will take a look at Autobahn...

Sebastian @Autobahn never got back to me so I decided to contact Mini of Portland. Andrew Smith was patient and he reminded me of the exceptional service that I've gotten at Mini of Marin so I made an appointment and my daughter will be taking the MCS in for service to the dealer on Dec 20.

I'll post her experience with the service...

Thanks again for the assistance!

Sebastian @Autobahn is becoming a problem child. He blew me off just the other day on something so he is out of my Rolodex.

I apologize for my faulty recommendation.

Feedback for Mini of Portland:

My daughter (and I via long distance) worked with Ingrid (SA) who was responsive, professional and knowledgeable. She set my daughter up with a courtesy loaner and went to bat for us with Mini when the battery that Mini of Marin installed 2.5 years ago exhibited issues. The warranty on the Mini battery is only 2 years (!) so as good will, Mini offered to split the cost with me, which was satisfactory.

I suspect that If I keep this vehicle until it needs a battery again, I'll determine if I can DIY it and use something a bit more robust.

All of the other items on the service list (oil change, reset TPM light, tire rotation) went well and the MCS is good to go for another 5k miles.

I'll definitely use the dealer again and highly recommend them.

Thanks so much for everyone's assistance!
