She is my daughter in law about to have kid #3. A caretaker that helps her with kids cannot use a manual transmission.

My mother in law (lives in Seattle) has an R53, which is over years what convinced me to get mine. I got mine for a local enthusiast who just had a second grandkid and was upgrading to a brand new Mini Cooper S 4 door
FWIW, in a pinch you can fit at least 1 carseat in the back if needed to take a grandkid from here to there.
