Rainy few days here in the upper mid-west. Winter is coming...
I ordered new winter wheels and tires today for the wife's CM.

Went with these:

She got her first proper bath last night. Paint decontamination (IronX, Clay) and a coat of wax. There was a ton of fallout all over the car from sitting outside on the dealer lot (by a highway).
I found many scratches from the dealer prep (clumsy use of the polisher) and even a dent on the front hood. Had I ordered the can new I'd have told them not to even unwrap it.

 

Installed black headlight & taillight rings. As well as a black grill.

Waiting for my black door handle covers and belt trim tape to arrive.

 

Mud flaps. Gotta love a good set of mud flaps.

 

Are those OEM Mini flaps? Hard to see in the pics.

 

Looks like it! I recently ordered and installed a set on mine as well. IMO it fits the car nicely and completes the bumper/wheel arches well...

 

They are...both OEM mud flaps and hard to see.

 

 

^^ WOW! Did you correct your speedo for the larger diameter tires?

 

No, not yet. It's 5.9% off. Speedo will say 60mph when i'm really doing 63.6mph.

 

You better be posting some offroading photos with the CM covered in mud!!

40% tint on front windows. I'm happy with how it looks.
Was going to do 70% on the windshield but they didn't have any on hand so will go back for that at another time - in the winter it's not such a big deal but in the summer even 70% provides a good amount of heat rejection.

 

Did the Black belt line this weekend. It's all coming together. Still waiting for a few more pieces to arrive in the mail.

 

It's my wife's car. I doubt it will ever see the mud.

New guy here...added stripes, blackjack mirror covers, OEM roof bars, black headlight & tail light rings, and red mini wheel caps to my wife's CM.

 

Looks awesome! Came together nicely!

 

Today... wife's dropping it off at MINI for it's first service appt. :(

It's pulling/drifting to the right as if it has plans that don't involve me. Hopefully just alignment, but interesting that it's happening at only 3,800 miles (2017 CM S All4.)

 

Late night wash! Sealed the leather with nanolex... its already sealed from factory (i hope).but why not more?...
It is snowing out but all is well inside!

Yeah, not much today. The Mini is out in the driveway. Wifey didn't drive it to work today, which usually means it needs gas.
I checked the air in the tires and looked at the coolant and put some windshield washer fluid in.
Can't check oil, kinda feel like I havn't done anything , meh.
At least I get to drive it,

Finally got my black door handle covers in the mail. Once I install them, all the chrome is gone. I'll post pics after.
