I have everything ready to go but cannot get the needle off of the tach. I watched a vid where the gentleman used a screwdriver. That didn't work at all. I saw another one with a pro using a needle shaft holder tool at the motor and a protector piece on the needle base. Then he got it off with a screwdriver and showed the possible damage of not using this method.

I don't want to damage the tach. Anyone have any suggestions?
