new Volk TE37 "Cup" wheels on MCS ?

Anybody have a picture of these on a MINI ?

They're a slightly different design than the TE37s with more of a deep dish look.

Also, anybody know what the 16x7" versions weigh ?

Thanks.

T37 Cup

gr8brithwjh,
The 16x8 offset +32 Volks T37 cup to me has been the best wheel
for the MCS. Not only do they give me that old school look but more
than anything a wider car. Facts to compare is for track use: My 16x7.5 et+42 SSR wheels to my 16x8.0 et 32 T37cup. The overall width (track)
of the car ends up to be 1.5" wider that with the SSR"s, the tire wear is
far far more even (flat tire contact patch) reguardless of what tire I
use be it a street tire Dunlop FM901, or a R-compound Kumho V700 16/45/16 or a Yokohama A048. Posibably we could also compare lap times
(@ The Streets of Willows) have also decreased by 2.13 seconds
which to me is a major improvement.
I'm sold on the T37cup!!!

here some phots at the track;

rts,
Thanks for the info., those wheels look sweet. I didn't even realise they were available in that size/offset. Are you lowered, do you experience any rubbing ?

I was looking at the 16x7" "Cups" with ET48 offset (or ET42) basically because they are close to OEM specs and most of my driving will be street, not track. I wouldn't want anything with too aggressive an offset (ET32) for daily/year-round use; one of the reasons I dismissed the 16" BBS RG-F wheels......or am I being overly cautious with offset ?

I certainly want a lightweight, quality wheel to replace the S-Lites (misnomer if ever there was one) and BBS or Volk are my main contenders.

new Volk TE37 Cup Wheels on MCS

gr8britwjh & goin440,
Sorry I didn't respone sooner.
The TE37 Cup @ et+32 clear if the MCS is not lowered too much.
But in my case yes they rubb, (lowered 2") only rubb when you make a
hard pivit turn say as in a sharp hairpin turn. Yes I did trimmed
both lip and interfender liner plastic and interfender steel.
Was it worth it, yep! my lap times were lowered and
I felt like it gave me more control.
Yes if I was going to use them for the street I also would go with
the et 42 offset then one could go the full 2 1/4" drop and also have
as wide as 215/45/16 tire.
Personally the street look for me would be a 195/50/16 giving the
side walls that stretched look on a deep dish TE37 Cup wheel

Thanks,
RTS

rts,
Thanks once again for your advice.

I can't believe how difficult it is to find quality lightweight rims with specs anywhere close to OEM. I really like the BBS RG-F (15x7" with ET42 offset) but I'm not sure how these will look and whether the wheelwell gap will be too exagerated (without lowering). With 205/55-15's I calculated they should be within ~10 mm diameter (less than half an inch) of the OEM S-lite 17"s.

However, it looks like Volk may have the better selection, but I'm a little bit reluctant to put JDM tuner wheels on my MINI (not sure why). I also like Minilites but they're way too heavy unless you go for the mag versions and I don't think they make them for the BMW MINI.
