On my R50, there is a empty 3rd hole in the headlamp. What is it for?

 

Common question... it is a design feature... it is art... it serves no purpose but simply to exist... and cause people to ask questions. I have had my 2004 R50 since 2004 and have found no use or need for it other than to visually balance the headlamp in some sort of way... maybe it is there to use less plastic... lowering cost... I'm grasping at straws here and not very well at that...
