Intake Manifold "spin" nuts

Newbie poster but long-time lurker here who has crushed the washer portion of a couple of the 10-year-old intake manifold nuts (spin nuts?) changing the head gasket. Local carparts independent called them Nylocks...but there is no nylon insert - although that would explain the brittleness of the washers if they were nylon.

I can't buy them locally and only google reference is to Mini-Mania at $3.50 ea + $10 to ship...what are people replacing them with? I can get flange nuts (no locking nylon) at ACE, I can get M8X1.25 prevailing torque nuts (and add a washer) at O'reilly/Autozone.

Yes, use flange nuts and no washers, work perfectly.
