100K+ Badge

I received my 100,000 plus badge Thursday night from the rep. at MINI. He informed me that I have the highest milage new MINI in the world from what they can tell. Plus I won first in class at the Bay Bottom Crawl in the Florida Keys this weekend. With (I might say) original brake pads. You can check my gallery for the pics.

I love that they are doing badges like Volvo. I came from a Volvo 300,000+ miles and had the high mileage badges on my old wagon. I'm looking forward to earning one for Sebby!

Congrats & Motor On!

Congrats

Did you get any indication if this is going to be a standard item for (original?) owners that roll over 100k?

Way to go man! I'm curious what you've replaced (aside from aftermarket) and what, if anything, went wrong along the way.

They didn't mention if this was going to be the standard or not.

The usual anti freeze tank replacement was replaced. Plus the airbag light keeps coming on. But from besides that all is well.

I'm happy for you to get the first 100K miles award but, "on the original brake pads" You must be a fun person to follow let alone ride with

There may be a market for some enterprising badge maker out there. I have some suggestions...

"MSRP DEAL"
"DELIVERED AS ORDERED"
"5'TH WINDSHIELD"
"10'TH SOFTWARE UPGRADE"

I do not like to brake a lot. Down shifting is fine for me.

I might only place it on the upper grill at meets. Would like to keep it pristine.

Congrats. We'll have to see if they send them out to others. Glad to see it is still going strong as well. The brakes are unbelievable, but I certainly understand...I hate braking if for nothing else just to hold back on the brake dust. I'll be putting on mintex pads soon to fix that problem (and hey I'm only just over 5kmi!)

Hope you have continued luck, and keep us updated.

Very nice! And very nice of MINI USA to give that out. Makes me wonder if this will be S.O.P. or not.

At 26.5k here, in less than a year. I should hit 100k in under 4 years.

Very cool, but without a standard MINI logo, it looks more like a one off to me rather than a standard thing. Hey come on we need to give credit where it's due! He's the FIRST 100,00+ miles IN THE WORLD? LOL. Didn't the UK get the MINI's before we did? That's some accomplishment.

Very cool! I agree with octane guy that this is probably not a standard issue thing. I think dpilgrim actually caught MINI off guard in getting to 100K so fast.

And considering how small the UK is can you imagine how many times around the island it would take to get to 100K!

Just like always, we set the standard everyone else has to follow.
Good on ya, dpilgrim!

The UK may be smaller than the US in size, but anyone there could have done it the same way Doug did. Yes Doug has made a few trips of longer distance, but most of his miles were put on his MCS going back and forth to work about 120 miles a day.

WTG Doug the highest mileage MINI of any type in the world. He’s up to 110K now BTW.
