will this setup rub? 17 x 7.5 wiht 215/40/17

contemplating on some aftermarket wheels that are 17 x 7.5.... offset 45 and was going to stick on 215/40/17 tires on them... was wondering if I will come across any rubbing issues.... on my 03 MC, I had 17 x 7 with the same tires but the wheels were only 40 offset and I never had a rubbing problem.... even with 4 people on board... anybody have this set up right now? thanks.

how much it'll rub, if any, depends on the tire sidewall shape. You're generally in the safe zone, get whatever you like in those sizes.

I agree. You should be fine with the +45mm offset and stock suspension. Even with lowering springs your rough limit is +42mm offset. Only if you drop a whole lot more with coil overs or cut springs would there be a problem.

The 215/40-17 tires will also help with not getting rubbing. However just note that the load rating is a bit less than with the stock tires or 215/45-17.

Have fun.

I've got 215/40/17 with a 45 + offset and lowered with Eibachs Pro Kit,1" front & 1.2" rear... no rubbing.
