As far as I know only the older Yakima q tower with q 128 clips fits a naked f56 roof.

if you want a system that uses roof rails then you should have bought a mini with dealer installed rails.

I used to work at an outdoors store through my college years that sold Yakima as well as Thule roof rack systems. I'm very familiar with both selling and installing these systems. Yakima is by far the easiest to install. I recently was in an REI and took a look at the spec for the F56 in the Yakima book. It says the Q towers work. The design (as far as I can tell, my towers are almost 18 years old) has not changed.

wow

I'm not sure what issue you have.
yakima has several roof rack systems but only the older q tower system with the round bar work a on f56.
eventually there should be the type that puts 4 pads on the roof and then the rack detached from yakima and thule.

there are not built in things in the roof like r56

I have a q tower set on my Mazda mini van I could someday buy the q128 parts for 80 bucks someday

the thule sub brand called sport rack sells their version of the q tower if your car has the part it's cheaper and better it's for sale in target.

But it's the same thing.

When I look at the Sportrack fit guide, it only shows racks for MINIs with factory rails.

http://www.sportrack.com/c/roof-racks

When I look at Target's web site, I don't see anything that looks like a Q tower, but I'm not at expert.

https://www.target.com/s?sortBy=rele...0&og=sportrack

Can you help?

sport rack doesnt list a part for f56 naked roof.

http://www.sportrack.com/c/roof-racks

youd need to be good at google to type your questions into google and read the sport rack part that is the same size as the yakima part.

nothing simple this is sort of advanced stuff

I have the yakima rack on my mini.

the sport rack part comes with bars and locks so its a better deal but i dont have time to look it up for you dont need it.

I actually have 2 sets of the q tower racks now.

This is one of the least helpful things I've seen posted here this year. Nice job.

The aftersales dealer installed roof rail system for F56 is at least 6 hrs labor and at over $100 per hour, then there's the kit cost on top of that..... Additionally I doubt every dealer would be willing to cut into a car roof as well....

Try the Saris rear mounted bike rack.

This rack won an award in Bike Magazine some years back. Same design since then, and seen this one on some MINI's before.
The center area is a ratcheted for many settings.

Well I have a roof rack and a bicycle rack

I have everything listed here.
I have the q tower rack for naked roof installed. Comes on and off.
it's essentially just like the r56 mini naked roof rack.

it doesn't go into the door dolls or window it fits into the roof.

ok but I don't want bikes up there I have a bike rack like that that goes on the hatch.
or I would get a hitch and then get a hitch rack.

but roof rack it's yakima 1 tower 48 inch bars and 4 q128 clips
or the actual bumper mounted mini rack
that's everything Right?

It bears repeating

There is nothing listed on any site that fits f56.
yet the actual part is the same size as the yakima part that fits the f56.
so whoever gets that done will have to look at the part maybe measure it
it will be the first one.
I'm just passing al9ng the research I did before I put the q tower on.
I do not own the sport rack set up. It's just a better deal

start with the yakima q 128 clips and find a sportrack equivalent. You have to read this and comprehend it.

I did, and I couldn't find anything similar to a Q128 on sportrack's website. Then I went to the PDF file which I linked above. So unless I'm missing something on the website, I don't believe sportrack has anything that will work on the F56.

Ok if that's the end for you maybe someone with more horsepower can help

the sport rack lists very few cars.

the q128 fits a lot if cars another one is the scion tc. You need to keep looking until you find one on the sport rack list or you could get a measurement I can say odds are it's the smallest fit kit . But that's up to someone not me I don't have time to donate more than I have.

These look like q128 clips to me. I think once you have the angle figured out thats the end. But you can look at the sportrack cars next look at the ones that take a a price that looks like these. Then look up in yakima if that car takes q128. I guess it's possible they don't but I really doubt it. I'd buy the one that ends with 7
