Sure they'll bolt up ( assuming the hole pattern is correct of course ) and as long as your willing to deal with any rubbing issues via, camber, trimming, and or spacers you'll be fine.. I'm guessing your after the stretched tire look? That's not a very wide tire to be on that rim... Alot of people running that size tire on a 7'' rim on here...
I agree, 205 seems a little small for an 8.5" wheel. Also, in my experience, the rear wheels will likely hit the trailing arm unless you have some big spacers you're going to use.
Yea, that a stretch of a tire. For coilovers some have cross over to the coupe (which we figured out) and some are coupe specific like the new ST Suspension / KW ones, which I believe the ones for the coupe just have different valving and springs rates for the raer as the car is a little heavier. Yes I found some coils and bought some that are made just for the coupe just to be safe and with more research that I've done I'm 6 mm further away so hitting the strut or trailing arm isn't a issue and I'm 43 mm more poke which is about 1 1/2. Inch more then stock but got adjustable rear controls coming to help with camber to stance it see as guys are firing 17x9 with the same off set I think I will be fine with some fine tuning only a summer car just going for the low a pretty look thanks for the replies so far
Great, post up some pics when you are done. Just watch for rubbing when you go over bumps and low areas.

will do everything should be by the end of next got esm 002 in PLATINUM gold just going with some godspeed coilovers and rear control arms doesnt break the bank and has camber plates on them only going to be a street driven car
Is there a reason to use 205/45-17 tires?
Did you want a stretch tire fit? Or are you more concerned with not rubbing?
205/45-17 fits rims 6.5-7.5" wide, perfect for 7" wide rim. So on a 8.5" wide rim you won't get a good fit for handling, performance or tire wear. A half inch out of range is workable for decent street use. If it is look you want then you will have to live with the compromise and it will mount (use a tire specialty shop that does stretch fit- call them first) and work more or less.
Are you using the tire for any cold weather? If so then for under 40 degrees you will need an All Season tire. Otherwise if you have winter tires you can use Summer tires for most of the year.
For a 17x8.5" rim an example of correct tire size is-
245/35-17 which is a perfect fit but tire selection is limited along with 235 mm wide tire sizes. Some Extreme Summer tires better suited for track and very limited street use.
If you want the best Max Summer tire for street use, Michelin Pilot Super Sport comes in 245/40-17 ($160 each on special). This is a perfect fit for 8.5" wide rim but tire diameter is taller than OEM at 24.7" which isn't that bad until you drop the suspension. If you have fully ride height adjustable coilovers then you can lower the suspension only as far as the tires will clear and not rub the wheel arches under full load. You may have to trim some on the wheel arch plastic and rub more negative camber front and rear for clearance. But the tire itself is very good for street use and it will look very aggressive.

not sure if u read the other posts im going for the stance look im very well aware that is not the right tire and stretching the tire and adding camber only being driven in the summer and not going for handling at this point
