Provides a little wakeup call, for sure.

Yup! After pinching my arm a few times I realized why people buy those lock button covers. But mostly I try not to lock the door with the side of my arm. Ouch!

I don't understand why anyone ever has to touch the lock button. Set it to lock as you drive away and unlock when you stop. There is a switch on the inside door handle to lock or unlock and if you're outside the car there's the fob.

Window open.
Car not yet moving.
Sitting in the passenger seat.
Rest arm on open window because beautiful day.
Ouch.

When I'm the driver my arms are otherwise engaged and not at risk.

Ahh makes sense now......

In Florida, I only have my window open to grab mail from box, otherwise, always up and AC on.
