Kudos to Brecht Mini
Just took it in for my second service, 29,000 on a 2003 MCS. First off I got to the appointment about 4 hours late. I work the Midnight shift and could not get in til about noon. The service writer was understanding, she stated that they would still attempt to get it done by the end of the day. Cool I say, then asks if I need a loaner for the day. Next thing I know I am pulling away in a Chevy Trailblazer.
No call at the end of the first day but no biggy I have the Chevy, I get a call at 8:30 AM the next morning and she tells me that the mechanic found my power steering resv empty. Apparently the system had a leak. They R&Rrd the steering rack and tie rods/ball joints etc... They finish it off with a required 4 wheel alignment. This is beyond the required service items and the stuff I had listed to get fixed.
Now the reason I am happy is the mechanic could have just filled the power steering and not gone any further, but instead he went further.
Its the small things that make your day.
