Stereo and Nav Manuals

I have searched here as well as the internet. Are there manuals (Hard copy or Digital) for the nav system and stereo. I am just perplexed at the system and I am tech savvy. The owners manual book and on the car are really no help.

I believe that they are expecting you to use the in car help. I'd like to be wrong but never seen one.

I don't like the fact you have to drill into a list item then back out to see the details. Not very intuitive. I have not seen too much documentation on it and what is there is, as you mentioned, of no real help.

Adding presets too, I can't figure out, sometimes I can add one, sometimes I get to the menu item wrong and the previous menu item is loaded to preset. It is not a very good design, in my opinion.

THANK YOU! I thought I was the only one to dense to figure out how the presets work. I have a few set, but whatever the system is, it is a hot mess.

Agree ... this is frustrating, but a small point on an otherwise great car.

I went to the dealer for assistance on presets and we sorted that out pretty well. Still not the easiest system.

One issue I have not been able to resolve is radio/stereo muting when receiving nav directions. I was able to raise the volume of the nav instructions, but it is just louder while the radio still plays. Our MINI Genius was out today, so one of the MAs and I worked our way through the system and concluded that it was beyond us.

Waiting for a call from the Genius.

If you have an iPhone or Android device you can get the MINI Motor's Guide or Driver's Guide app, it does have some Nav and Entertainment info.

For the love of God please tell me how to save addresses. I know how to use "previous destinations" which is what I'm doing now.

Please don't tell me it's based on phone contacts because there are hundreds of them in my phone. Help!

Got a call from our local Genius and, after a day of researching, the answer is to bring it in for a software update. It's not a big issue, so I'll wait until my next service since the dealer is an hour away. Who knows ... maybe it will fix itself by then.
