How to reset a Mini Cooper exterior light warning

I replaced a bulb in the rear offside tail light, and a week on, I am getting a warning light (a yellow bulb symbol) coming up every time the ignition is on. Does anyone know how to reset this warning light ... because the tail light is working but I can't seem to figure out how to reset the warning light. Many thanks

Did you unplug a number of electrical connections to get the housing out and the bulb in? I say this because I was getting the same dash indicator, and it was because I forgot one of the connections.

All the videos only show service warning reset instructions NOT the exterior bulb warning. I replaced the burnt out tag lights but the warning light is still on. Very frustrating. Pls help marshguy@gmail.com

I think you still have a bulb out somewhere. As long as replacement bulbs are the correct incandescent type & wattage, the warning will go out by itself. You may need to take the key out & in again.
Check the 36mm festoon license plate bulbs as they are particularly prone to corrosion & failure.

mine has always cleared as soon as I replaced the bulb ... the system 'checks' the bulbs at start up.

you haven't recently replaced anything with LED have you? The lower resistance of a <simple> LED bulb tricks the 'system' into thinking there is a bulb out .....

better / newer LED bulbs have special circuitry to increase the 'load' and trick the computer to ignore (trying to make it easy to understand for those without electrical engineering degrees. . .)
