Hello,

First time poster here!

My wife has a 2010 Cooper S convertible that the rear latch keeps opening up on its own. It gets to be very annoying. I have researched this issue and they say water gets into the mechanism and shorts it out?

I would like to fix this problem on my own and was wondering if there are any links to the exact parts and instructions on how to fix?

Has anyone else experienced this same issue? And if so, how did you resolve the problem?

Just want to confirm that the trunk lid popping open on its own, that this fix will solve that issue also? I have heard that water gets in to this and fries the switch.
This fix will fix BOTH the trunk popping open on its own AND the trunk lid button not working?
