Rear chrome trim between body and top
How do you remove it?
Some of the rubber on mine has gotten brittle and broken off. Is this a cosmetic issue or does this really seal anything? Doesn't look like it would effective sealing out any moisture even when new.

Undo the clamps in the boot and raise the rear tensioner of the hood, the part with the high level brake light. Use the handle to keep it in place. You will see a few torx screws along the black plastic curved part. Those hold it in place. The rubber cannot be changed independently, you would have to buy the chrome/rubber part as one piece. Be careful with the brake light, the cable is very short. Note the screws are not all the same length!
The rear rubber does not keep water out of the car. Here are some threads that cover the matter.

If I took the time I could probably make some rubber strips that would be glued in-between the original trim (after cutting the cracked portions off) and the painted black strip that I put on.
