another accessport question

Was wondering, I see a bunch of folks talking about the Accessport for MINI, but i can't find them.. only for BMW cars. Do the BMW ones work with the Mini N18 systems? I had one on my old Subaru STI and it was fabulous. I was under the impression that all new mini's had to have the ECU bench tuned!? lol..

Can't use the accessoort on the N18 engines, which is probably why they stopped support for the Mini. They are only good for the N14 engines. The only place to get one now is the used marketplace.

Accessport is for the early (2007-2010 MCS, 2007-2012 JCW) 2nd gen cars with the N14 engine. For the later 2nd gen cars with the N18 engine, there are several options that can tune the ECU (must be removed from the car, unless you happen to be nearby a tuner), or you can get the JB+ from burger tuning for a plug in tune.

Have fun,
Mike
