F54 Dog guards for trunk?
Dog guards for trunk?
I've been trying to find accessories for the Clubman that cover or protect the trunk area for my dog. I've got a pug and currently in my car today I use a cover that connects to the front and rear headrests. It does an ok job but sometimes gets pushed away from the seats and I'm afraid of the dogs claws on my cars Indigo Chesterfield leather.
I found this which looks promising but only seems available via eBay. Anyone have this or have something different they like?

I had one of those in my previous car. It was made by a different manufacturer, but it looked identical. It was very well made, but the problem was that it attached to the stock carpet via Velcro, and when you pull the liner out for cleaning, the Velcro pulls/tears the carpet and leaves marks. It defeats the purpose of using a liner to protect the carpet. I honestly found that it did far more harm than good. Had I used nothing, the carpet would have looked better.
I've been thinking of buying one of these:

I don't have experience with this type, but it seem rigid. If it's self supporting, I assume it doesn't need Velcro and therefore, wouldn't ruin the carpet.
This video makes it look pretty good:

My yellow lab rides in the back of my Clubman. he likes to sit in the drivers seat when I am out of the car. I bought a bungee net from Harbour Freight to keep him out of the front seat. the net has a lot of hooks around its perimeter and it is easy to find places to hook it to, especially if you have a sunroof.

I always have the back seats folded flat and I put a 3'X4' piece of black ribbed rug runner, purchased at Lowe's for less than ten bucks, on the floor in back.

To remove dog hair from the rest of the exposed carpet, I use one of those 3M sticky lint rollers to pick it up.

I'll let you know how the Trunk-Liner stuff is, just order one with bumper and tailgate guards for my 2017 Clubman. Was super bummed MINI was not making the full cargo liner like I have for my 2013 Clubman, this was a great find and I hope it works and looks as good as the video and pics!
