Resonator delete - 2013 JCW R56

Thinking of buying another JCW and wanted to know if anyone did the resonator delete on a 2013 R56. Is there any drone? More burble than pop?

What pipe was installed in place of resonator?

I have a 2012 R58 fJCW, I deleted the resonator not too long after I bought the car.
Just welded in a piece of stainless steel pipe. No issues and sounds great with no
drone.

I had the non-monitored resonator in my '11 JCW Clubbie replaced with a section of straight pipe, and it was the best $100.00 I ever spent. It sounds so much better and it's noticeably louder and throatier, but it's not at all obnoxious. I don't think there's a huge difference in burbles, but the pops on deceleration are louder and more frequent. There is some drone on the highway while holding a steady speed, but it's not loud enough to be obnoxious and it only happens in a narrow speed range. Ya just turn up the stereo.... :-)

Not a factory JCW, but I have 2013 Cooper Coupe S with a JCW factory muffler and resonator delete. There is noticeable drone on the highway between 3000-4000 RPM, which is basically cruising at 75 MPH. It's not terribly annoying, but this is my daily beater car and I am able to live with it on my commute to work. The trade-off is worth it for the way the car now sounds though, have a listen:
