Common is 6-7" width (OEM or aftermarket)?
OEM is 16x6.5, 17x7, 18x7 which go with OEM tire sizes 195/55-16, 205/45-17, 205/40-18 but these OEM sizes are for Runflats and you are not limited to using them.
Common aftermarket tire sizes are 205/55-16, 215/45-17 and 215/40-18 (all work with 7" wide rims).
What suspension (OEM or lowered)?
Which front brake (OEM or JCW or big brake kit)?
Which model year?
What are you using your MINI for (street only vs track or autocross vs aggressive appearance)?
What wheel diameter are you looking for?
Rim width is only one part of the total equation for selecting wheels and tires and everything works together for your intended use.
What power mods do you have for your R53 (OEM only, reduction pulley vs other)?
Do you plan to use the wheels and tires for any cold weather (under 40 degrees)? If so then All Season tires would match better than Summer tires which can affect tire size selection as well as which tire models match.
