Foglights and Xenon Headlight Question

Maybe a stupid question but I have the Xenon headlights and I like the white light but my in-bumper foglights have a yellow tone to them and don't look good with the headlights on - the only way they work BTW. Is there a way to make the color closer to the Xenon headlights? Maybe a true white bulb or something?

Look up the size of the bulb in the owners manual. I think they are H11. Go to ebay and type in H11 Xenon. Look for a seller with good feedback on his product. This is what I did for my little bro and they look NICE. To install them turn the wheel all the way in one direction and unscrew the open panel right behind the lights. So if you were to turn the wheel right, install the front left fog light. I think you only need a screwdriver. My little bro did it and he never does that kinda stuff, so it should be easy. I am waiting on some money to afford my own, but when I get them I am going to do the same thing.
Good Luck

Rick-Anderson,

Are you saying you can't turn your fog lights on unless the Xenons are on? I have the Xenons but I can turn the parking lights AND the foglights on without having the Xenons turned on. I'm not sure why you would be having an issue, though.

Yea, the fog lights should work with just the parking lights on. They are that color for a reason. Light with a lower white point (yellow light) cuts through fog much better than a higher (whiter) bulb that just illuminates it and blinds you. That said, driving around with your fog lights on all the time IMO is not cool at all. Use then when you need them and turn them off.

I can't turn my fogs on onless my zenons are on.I see no reason to.If the weather is bad,the fogs work great to light up right in front, their sole purpose. No point trying to light up fog or snow, just turns white ,if you need the fogs on slow down so you can see down the road enough to react to anything in front of you.Yellow is better.

 I don't have the daytime driving lights...didn't like them and they don't earn an insurance reduction in Cali. But I do like to drive with my parking lights and fogs on during the day sometimes. I think it just makes Wanda stand out. In such a small car, I want to be seen!

Now I have to go outside and see if they're yellow! LOL! I've never noticed!

they aren't yellow exactly. just warmer in the spectrum than the Xenons.

I'm looking for Xenon high beams so i don't get the yellow and blue blend from the Xenons and highs. nice 150W retina burners

Can anyone confirm bulb type for me? I don't have a manual (yet) but want to see if bulbs from the E46 will work.

Thanks!

How would xenon high beams work, don't they need to warm up briefly. And with most lamps, turning them on is hard on them, and shortens thier life.Could get pricey.

The MINI Fogs are H11 bulbs.
