I was just looking for more Mini people locally. I think it would be nice to get a meet together... <shrug>

 

See if you can get a hold of either Bluwtrsaylor (I think that's how he spells it) or Supergreen. They both live in the Charleston area and post on the Owner's Lounge. Supergreen's been kinda quiet since the MINI club he tried to start didn't do too well.. You might want to try posting over there, too, you might get some results!

 

Definately--if you have an event.

 

It might be worth trying to find Trey, of cat-dog racing, in Charleston as well.

The Columbia group would love to hook up with a Charleston group for an event, and I know you can get help from the Charleston dealer if you put something together.

I am pretty sure the Myrtle group would come play too.

Just depends on the when and the what.

That a great idea. I know the VW groups have had a few meets here. Sticky Fingers and Hooters. <shrug>

 

Give us the time and place and ill get it out to the Myrtle beach Group. Sounds cool! The only problem I may have is working around my college football schedule.

 

I will look up the Charleston Mini members here to see if anyone has any ideas. If we come up with something, we'll post it here so we can perhaps meet up with the Columbia/Myrtle Beach Mini enthusiasts.

I always need an excuse to get to chucktown.

 

My suggestion is lets meet at California Dreaming and have lunch and meet everyone. They have plenty of room in their parking lot. Then lets plan a little ride through Charleston at the Battery and maybe across the bridge to Patriots Point museum in Mount Pleasent. We can take great photos their. Also do this on December fourth since Football season will be about over.Finally good so that some people could do some Christmas shopping in Charleston as well. Ill work on my Myrtle beach group going if you let me know yalls plans . We can make this a GO! Derek

 

We had a meet at California Dreaming back in January. Excellent location for a meet!

 

That's a really great idea. I hope I can remember how to get there . December 4th works for me as well.

 

Ok you guys in Charleston plan December fourth to meet at California Dreaming around 11:45. We get all the cars lined up. We have lunch and talk Mini. You guys in Charleston plan a road course through the battery and the market area,proceeding to Patriot point or another spot like Magnolia Gardens.Make and copy about twenty maps. Somebody bring Radios and we are set. Call Mini of Charleston to donate Mini prizes.Also give a local TV station a call to do a story about the event.I will notify the Coastal Mini group from Myrtle Beach to head for Charleston that day to have some fun! Simple I think we have a Party! Derek

MINI of Charleston is more than glad to assist with an event or meeting. Typically, I'd suggest a get-together and car show at the dealership, but this week we start construction on our new BMW building (including a large new state of the art shop for BMW and MINI!). Until the construction is completed (April), it's going to be pretty tight around here. There are plenty of local car shows in the area and we might be able to schedule a meeting around one of those and flood the event with MINIs. We can drag out one of the race cars and a convertible.

 

Any of you guys having any movement on the Charleston thing. The Coastal Mini club group in Myrtle beach is meeting next thursday to discuss heading yalls way on December fourth 2004. It would be great to get Mini of Charleston involved even though they are building their new building and could not have Minis meet their do to construction.One of you guys give us the place and we will come. At least me. Im ready for a Road Trip! Derek

 

I just found out my work Christmas Party is the 4th of December, so I'm out of the meet on that date :( :thumbsdown:

 

Just wondered if not an organized thing are any of you Carolina Mini owners are thinking of showing up? We may get a few of us from Myrtle Beach to show up.If so we could meet around noon at California dreaming. Derek

 

I've got this written down on the calender. I should make it on the 4th.

 

If all works out Ill be in Charleston December fourth at California Dreaming around 11:45 am. Hope to bring some more Minis from Myrtle Beach and Litchfield Beach.Also probably Art will come from Sumter. We will have a good time anyway whoever shows up.I love to Motor Derek
