F55 Wheel/tire options

I have a F55s 2017 with dynamic damper (big mistake).
Running 18x7 stock rims with a 2015 Runflat. I cant lower the car because of the DDC.

Looking to move to a wider wheel/tire combo. I asked the dealer and was surprised when they did not know - said to call tire rack.

Is it possible to do a 18x8 and 225 wide - has anyone tried?
Or should I just go with 215/40?

I drove a 17 Clubman ALL4, and it took corners MUCH MUCH better than my car. Could it be the 225 tires???

Going crazy with this and am afraid I will be stuck with a poor handling car.

Many folks complain of runflats in general. In the research I've done, prior to purchasing car, a few folks indicated they didn't like the handling of the 18" tires on the F55. I don't remember the specifics though.

And, ironically the DDC should improve cornering. What's happening in the corners ?

NM, I saw your other thread. Sucks. I wouldn't dump anymore money in to the car until your sure what the issue is. Maybe take it somewhere for a look over.

my set up will be as follows and will get installed by the end of April.

2016 F55S, non JCW brakes
Factory DDC
Neuspeed RSE10 18"x7.5"
+45 offset
225/40/18 tires
and just in case I have a 3mm spacer to install if needed.

So I will post up pictures and details once completed. I have read others are running a 225 wide tire with an 18" wheel. Plus Neuspeed said it would fit but Tire Rack won't touch this set up since they don't sell a wheel with the above specs, but they did confirm the tire will fit the wheel.

Good Luck
