Any good shops in Southern NH?

Got a misfire on cylinder 1, going to change out the ignition coils and plugs myself, but I'm worried it might be carbon buildup and I don't really trust the Bedford dealer to deal with this. Anyone have a local shop in the area they trust? Thanks!

If you're willing to travel a little further, Greasy's Garage in Worcester, MA is a VERY trusted indy MINI shop.

Thanks, mdaz...bit of a hike, but I do get down there occasionally. Any idea if they do loaners? Usually I'm passing through on business, so it'd make it easier to drop it off for the day if they did, but rarely see that at indy shops.

I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure they don't have loaners. I've always just sat there and waited.

No loaners at Greasy's, but they're my go-to from Lowell.

from Lowell:
take Bridge Street or Mammoth Road north to 111
turn left onto 111 towards Hudson
when you get to the big white church, turn around, you just missed by about 1/2 mile

same from Manchester, only go south & turn right onto 111 !

About 20-25 minutes from either.
I don't think they have a loaner car, though I haven't asked.

Mike

I went to 3D Auto when I had my MINI for oil changes. I did all other work on the car myself. They are really great over there. Family run, very knowledgeable, and super nice!

Where did you end up going to? There is not many shops around that do the carbon blast on MINIs. I would recommend 3D Auto, Ultimate Bimmers (Nashua), and Kensington Autoworks.

Haven't yet. Put in some new NGK Laser plugs and a new coil on #1 and she's been running well. Not to say it won't need to be done, but seems like it's not the issue for now. Still, thanks for the recommendations for future work!

You will be able to tell when there is carbon build up. Have you joined MINIs of NH of facebook yet?
