Read where this really helped with the earlier models...just wondering if any here have tried it in a stage 3 ?

 

I think you mean Generation 3? I've been considering this mod, but have been waiting to hear more about it myself. I did this on my '07 MCS and it made a big difference, but I had over over 100K miles on it at the time. I'm not sure how much if any it would benefit a newer low mileage car.

 

Did inserts on my '12 made a nice difference. Rumored that the solid arms are very stiff and lots of vibrations, not good for a daily.

 

Thanks for the replies...I did notice the Gen "3" modification available was much different than the Gen 2..

 

I have had the powerflex bushings installed for months in the lower engine mount. They are NOT the black version as I felt that would have been too stiff for daily driving.

Granted my F55S is an auto I did notice crisper shifts. I'm sure it will be a great, cheap, easy upgrade for manuals as well.

The bushings come with optional plastic inserts to stiffen things up even more. I noticed with the inserts I would get a lot of idle vibrations. Without the inserts the idle was as smooth as stock.

Install was pretty easy except I was not able to remove the stock rubber bushing (it's one piece) without cutting it out. If you ever need to put the stock bushing back in it's very cheap, I think around $20 so I didn't mind cutting it out. The new bushings just press in easily with your fingers.
