RS4 is up on Tire Rack. Still listed as "special order" but specs and pricing.

Really think they'll be faster than the RE-71R?

I am running the RE71-R 215/45-17 on a TR 17X7 rim. Where did you find the RS4---looked and no joy.

Looks like the rs4 page was pulled. Bummer, had sizes and pricing.

Anyways, supposedly a mid to late March ETA for the first shipment. If you're familiar with how the Hankook supply chain works, you'll probably want to order early if you run a popular size.

I am running in Tavares this weekend and at Brookesville on the 22nd. Most of the serious guys are going to Ft. Myers this weekend to prepare for the pro solo in march. Looks like a good turnout for minis at Tavares on Sunday.

My auotX is in the rear view mirror with the first one out of the way. After reading all about the Copper S not rotating and all that is needed from a big rear bar to 60lb of air in the rear tires etc I thought I would out smart every one and run a higher tread index on the rear which happened to be a pair of Hankoks that I had laying around with the RE71-Rs on the front. I had previously installed a 25mm Hotchkiss bar the rear and it was set in the middle. I must say the my theory worked real good----so good the the car was almost impossible to do anything other than a straight line I dropped the rears to 32b ------many people comments that they had never seen a Copper with such a happy tail. It was a hand full----more like a rally car in the dirt. At end of the day I ended up 3rd in class of 11which must have been sheer luck. I will assure you that next time out I will have a set of RE71-Rs on the rear and that should be good for 1-2 seconds per----maybe even better. I did learn car control just trying desperately to keep the tail behind me. One of the instructors comments was" how do you drive this thing"----my response was: very carefully. The turn around at the far end of the course was a grand slide---drift style----it was fun when you got it right. Live and learn!!!!!

I went to the brookesville points event the next day. The old guard thought the tire plan and resulting spins were hilarious.

Hopefully we can make it to the same event some time soon. I am missing the next few in Brookesville due to other commitments but I will be in Tavares wth Martin on February 12.

I am running a red on red car in STX. There is normally a pretty good number of minis at the Martin events. Regulars run in D street, STF, STX, and SMF almost every event.

Congrats. Are you moving to DS or STX once you are done with novice class?

I will be in Tavares this Sunday and we will see how that goes, if I stay I will for now go to the DS class. My problem is my stock springs are 14 years old and have 151,000 miles and I am having a difficult time finding new stock S springs.

It was nice to meet you yesterday. Great driving. If you were in D Street, your pax finish would have been about 22/107.

Full results are here.

I signed up for Autocross school, after 20 runs the street tires will be done-----saving my RE-71-R's for competition. I need to find at least 2-3 seconds and hopefully the national level instructors can get the nut behind the wheel tightened up to the level he needs to be at to be competitive.

I did the autocross school and did 20 runs and I did opt to stay on the 71-R's, and the school was woeth every dime. How to cram 5 AX weekends into one day. The school was a great place to find out where that ragged line is by stepping over several times and paying the fee. The single biggest thing of all I learned was when to unwind the wheel to go faster.
