Has anyone tried putting a brighter bulb in the front side turn signals?

Crazy idea .......the headlights, just the standard halogens so no cornering lights, in my 2016 4 door really have very little side illumination, so when you turn at an intersection on a dark country road you are turning into darkness. I was thinking of seeing if a brighter bulb could be used in the front side turn signals to at least give a little light as you turn ....has anyone tried this? Not sure if a bright bulb will fit or if a higher wattage bulb would burn out some electrical component or cause some code light to be tripped ........any thoughts on this crazy idea?

hmmm ..i guess no one has tried this, but any thoughts as to if using a brighter bulb will affect any of the electronics?

I went to my local AutoZone and the side turn signal bulb in our manual is a W5W which is listed at 50 lumens......autozone says that it cross lists as your basic 194 bulb, and sylvania makes the 194A LED , clear, that i think is listed at 90 lumens ...so would be brighter though certainly not like a cornering light but would be better than how it is now, and being an LED i would think it would be drawing less current than the stock W5W ( which also may make the electronics notice something is different a send some code that a bulb is burn out) ......

thoughts anyone???

thanks

ahh ....you're right ...package said 194A ..the guy said this was amber but he was out of stock in clear but it would be a little brighter ...what is can bus??? is that the LED with a resister to draw a load to make the electronics think it is an incandescent bulb/ if so, will it designate it as such?

In my experience, LED bulbs have a more intense light, but it does not travel as far as an incandescent will...
