R56 just sputters then dies
Car was running fine. Hour later on a 65 degree sunny day jumped in to start and this happened: Started and immediately began sputtering moved backwards 5 feet than died. Tried again and it fired up sputtered less than a second and died. Tried this and variations for the next 1.5 hours while waiting for tow truck.
I do not have a dealer in my area took it to the local shop that has has been doing the oil changes and seem knowledgeable regarding Minis. They spent a day and a half and hit a wall. They said there are no codes. They replaced a relay and confirmed no power is getting to the fuel pump on/ in the tank. So the problem seems to be no power is getting to the HPFP. They are at a loss. They said there was a service bulletin regarding the HPFP but according to Mini this car is not in that group. Has anyone experienced this problem?
Some back ground on the car. I purchased my 2009 Mini (automatic) last October 2015. It had 16,000 miles. It now has 34,000 miles. It is 100% stock with normal oil changes and always garaged.

Should be well within hpfp extended warranty 10yr 120k miles iirc
You usually won't get a code for fuel pressure , it'll cause cyl misfires (p0301/2/3/4)
If you can view the fuel rail pressure at start up with scanner, torque, dash command etc would be a big plus
Oops didn't look at section this was in....was only for turbo cars
