New Key Fob
Hello,
New to the forum. Just bought a 2008 Clubman which only came with one key. I checked with the local MINI dealer and he says $40 for the slide in key only and $180 for the key and FOB.
I see you can buy used or Chinese FOB's on ebay, but I am unsure as how to program it for my car. If I could reprogram, I would buy the slide in key from the dealer and the FOB from ebay. Does anyone know the program sequence for a 2008 R55?

$180 is a great price on a new key from the dealer. The quote I got was over $300 because it has to come from the factory and is tied to your VIN.
Don't bother with the Chinese FOB's, they can not be re-programmed.
