New Rims, TPMS Sensors

70,000 miles ago, I replace the factory rims on this car with aftermarket, but didn't replace the tpms. Now,I'm putting different larger OEM rims on the car and want to put the tpms back on. Will a national tire chain be able to pair the tpms with the car? Should I have Mini deal with this? I really don't want Mini doing the tire/rim exchange, but was thinking of taking it there if necessary to have the sensors paired.

You can do it. Just reset the TPMS through the left stalk button menus with the sensors in the wheels and on the car. That's it, you're done!

If you still have access to your original sensors, have them installed. If you need to buy another set, ensure they're compatible with the receiving circuit --- these things are about $100 each. There are many others available, and cheaper, that won't communicate with your car.

Most national tire chains can look up the correct part and install it, but they may not know how to use your "TPMS Reset" feature. It's not that difficult for you to do.

Here's a handy application guide if you need to replace them:
