Hello. I ordered a speaker splice harness from newministuff. I have an R53 with the Boost stereo (with CD).

The only problem is that the colors of the wires don't correspond to the colors I should expect from the factory harness.

From searching the forums I found this info for the factory harness colors:

Left Front Speaker (+/-) yellow/red - yellow/brown, +/-

Right Front Speaker (+/-) brown/black - blue/brown, +/-

Left Rear Speaker (+/-) yellow/black - yellow/gray, +/-

Right Rear Speaker (+/-) blue/purple - blue/gray, +/-

The attached photo shows the colors on the harness I'm working with. Does anyone know what wire is what?

 

I found the answer in part from this harness diagram. Posting it here to help someone else with a similar question in the future.
