This was one hell of a sticker
This was one hell of a sticker
Hello!
Purchased my R53 earlier this year with 64k miles on it--I am the second owner and it is clean as an adopted baby's bottom, except for one minor detail:
SHE'S GOT A TRAMP STAMP

I've run my finders through the residue and it seems as though the sticker ate into the bumper paint as I am finding indentations on the paint itself.
My question is is there a way to possibly remedy this without a complete respray of the back bumper? Clay bar?
Looking forward to hearing back! Thanks!

WD-40 works real good at removing adhesives if you don't have lighter fluid. Then follow up with the clay bar as previously suggested...wouldn't hurt to clay bar the whole car actually then give it a good coat of carnuba.
It is a most fortunate mistake
I didn't remove the sticker.. it was probably the previous owner when he was about to sell the car. Have to dedicate a whole weekend to do the clay bar

Don't know how big your car is but it doesn't take a weekend to do it, more like an hour at the most. It's not a big job.

Ditto. Takes very little time to clay a car. Make sure to use plenty of lube.

Crazy that the sticker was so toxic, since Livity is an eco-friendly company. Maybe just find another sticker that you like and that won't induce road rage --although just about anything can do that nowadays!
Maybe a mobile touch up company can fix that for you. Not sure on the price, or if they go all the way up to the City, but I've dealt with this company a few years back.
