Help me make up my mind.

Which set do you guys like? I'm going sport/luxury look. Most people black everything out and make it look like a race car. I want something different.

Black or polished? And I'm still not sure on 18s...so indecisive.

Nice wheels, they disappear in black.

I like silver...goes along nice with the other chrome trim on the car.

To me, clearly the polished look is the way to go for those wheels. Intricate spoke design is not as visible in the black color. Only go with black if you're dead set on the color, but I don't think you are.

Both look great so your personal preference. I'd go with polished.

Drive Hard. Drive Safe. Keep Grinning.

Polished will be harder to keep "looking" clean if you have stock brake pads. If you change to pads that dust less then it will be much less work. You don't want to have to drive around on "dirty looking" wheels.

Since you have chrome accents then Polished wheel finish makes more sense although looks are subjective.

Polished finish sends the message - hey look at me sparkle. Good "bling" factor if you want it.

Black finish is more aggressive and stealth, when wheels are moving then the wheels blend in and you see mostly rotors and brake calipers.

I believe the black with the light center cap looks just right !

The silver wheels appear too large but the black wheels seem to appear a bit smaller to fit the Mini size wise.

One reason I love my two tone cup spoke wheels on my black JCW is they are the best of both worlds! All black wheels are cool but boy do they get dirty fast! Silver is more to my liking because they accentuate the body of the car better....it is a MINI after all & the wheels are a large part of the package....not many black wheels on any classic Mini! If I had to choose I'd go silver/polished.

I don't see how black makes it look like any more of a race car.

Only go for the Gold if you get rid of all the Chrome.

Exactly.

I don't want to get the chrome covered because I feel like most Minis go that direction. I want to embrace the inner bimmer

I think it looks off when you have Gold wheels, Chrome trim, then the car color.

Too many colors mixed together; then go with the ??Chrome / Silver wheels.

Just try looking at your Mini with 18" and 17" wheels and see which looks best to you.

I agree with you.....not even tempting to me to wrap all the chrome in black or carbon fiber look on my black JCW. I can see the advantage of it at times but the beltline trim is a classic BMW design feature and if you black out the other chrome trim pieces & leave the beltline trim it looks wrong imo. I'm sure the designers struggled with this since even MIMI offers black trim pieces as optional additions.

Just find the silver or black/silver wheels you like and go for it! Personally I'd go for 18" wheels. I'm not a fan of highly polished wheels but the right wheel might look fine!
