Fun or dumb??

Good day everyone,

Does anyone have any information on a Honda K20 engine swap into a R53. I would love to turbo my R53 but i think it would be just as easy to do a engine swap then deal with removing a s/c and plumbing in a turbo.

No idea but interested. I see the original Mini swaps with the K20 on the internet everywhere.

And I don't care how fun they're supposed to be, I always want to punch people in the face when they do this to a classic Mini. It's not my car, so it's just my opinion, but I can't stand it.

I hear you ghost, sometimes it's just wrong. There's a guy in my area selling this neat old diesel Mercedes. Problem is someone put a 350 in it. Car is completely worthless now I think.

I do think putting a modern engine in an old muscle car is pretty cool. Has to be the same brand though, like the new hemi in an old 'Cuda

But no, just buy a Honda if you want a Honda engine. The r53 engine is pretty solid so I don't think it would even be worth doing. Would it even fit?

There is no wrong if it is what you want and it doesn't infringe on other people. Just let it go, punch in the face? Wow

Only time I see it wrong is messing with a real rare classic collector like say a '27 Duesenberg. Somewhere I remember a Mini/MINI inspired phrase sumptin' like 'You-ification'.
