I have the Mini Clubman Cooper S 2007 model and the guy I bought it from had the stereo replaced with another Mini Factory stereo as the old one broke (kids ruined the CD player). There have been no sounds since.

How do I get this working?

Does your car have the Harmon Kardon system?
It's odd that you're not getting the warning sounds, since the radio does control that.

I don't think it's Harmon Kardon no. Just the standard setup I believe. Yes its weird.
