lug bolts

I'm looking to get extended lug bolts and wanted to know if it's important to get ones that have 10.9 stamped in the head.

I've seen some on ebay and amazon, but at those prices, I do not trust the quality.

I also contacted Motorsport Hardware but the bolts they have are not stamped. The owner says they are manufactured in Europe by a TUV approved manufacturer.

The numbers show the strength of the bolt. If they aren't there, how would you know the strength of the bolt? I wouldn't mess around with a bolt that doesn't have the numbers on it.

I've broken 2 stock lug bolts taking them off by hand (due to the dealer putting the on too tight with an impact gun.) I think the 10.9 bolts are the minimum strength required and given the choice, I'd like even stronger ones.

Most reputable sellers won't sell you junk...
Gorilla sells lugs at a decent price...have bought 2 complete sets from them......as do many vendors...
Lugs are a commodity item....but I would not buy them from a shady guy on eBay...even stamped, they could be counterfeit...

I just looked on my set of OEM bolts that came with the car from the factory. The only stamping that they have is "3F" on the bottom of the thread.

I'm with Zippy, go with a reputable seller.

I looked on my original bolts (I kept them). They are fairly grungy and I couldn't see any markings. The replacement stock bolts were bought from the dealer so I am assuming they are the proper straighten rating.
