I'm going to have the update reinstalled tomorrow. Yesterday I remembered people recommending Mobil 93 for the MINI. I have been using Sunoco 94. I filled up with Mobil, and there is a big improvement in pep and performace. It's not quite at the level of pre 3.1, but is definately acceptable! The fun is back.

I still do get a little roughness at cold idle and sometimes when car is returning to idle, but I can live with that.

Others who were disappointed with the 3.1 performance might want to try Mobil.
