Wow! You have a nice looking car...in case no one told you, do get into the habit of checking the oil level on a regular basis until you get the feel for your car.

Congrats!

I do. I bought it 8k on the odometer last year. I have put on a cnt catless dp, aem intake, front mount intercooler, m7 strut bar, m7 oil catch can, Alta boost spring, helix short shifter, and a bov. I have been monitoring everything even though I have a 75,000 mile extended warranty. Thanks for the kind words.

I get a lot of compliments almost the time for the wheels. I am looking for another wheel at the moment because 1of them has some rash from previous owner

Nice, i would either refinish them or you could just replace that rashed one if its one of them.

bman48, check the oil religiously! I mean religiously! I have a 2010 (N14 Engine) and they burn about 1 qt of oil every 1500 miles.

The dipstick is so hard to read I actually drain the oil every 1000-1500 miles into a bucket with precise measurements on it and measure the oil precisely.

I really feel like the reason these cars have SO many issues is that people are driving them around 1-2 quarts low of oil on a regular basis.

What I do not understand is why the 2010 MINI Cooper S was excluded from the proposed Class Action Lawsuit? This is the letter that I recently got in the mail:

No kidding

No kidding! That made absolutely NO sense that we were left out of that lawsuit.

I got this covered. I broke down and bought a craven speed dip stick to replace that useless factory 1. I have been checking it every week since the car only drives on the weekend. I bought the car last year with 8k on the odometer and now have 25k on it now. it has been good on oil consumption and when I change at 5,000 miles it has 4.4 in the drain pan. In all honesty I have an extended warranty on the car for 85k.
