Hello and welcome. I like the 17" for daily and summer wheels, keep the smaller size wheel that you have for winter and mount some snow tires on them, when you go bigger you will have a rougher ride. So watch the 19"+ sizes.
Also check if you have bluetooth , even though you have the buttons, on the screen in the center it will pop up in the menu, if you dont have it , it was not ordered. No factory retrofit upgrade for the 2011+ Gen 2 MINIs. There is one for 2007-2010. Also linked are some other options.
Depending on what you want bluetooth for, I have a device that plugs into the audio jack and is powered by usb. I can connect via bluetooth to this device which transmits the audio through the car speakers, and it works for both phone audio and music. The quality of phone is better than factory bluetooth too according to people I've chatted with using it. The device comes with a wired remote to change tracks, pick up calls, etc and it's small enough to hide somewhere on the side of the center console if you want.
Thank you so much for such a helping suggestion im so new in mini and trying to figure out how to use it..can i see the inside of your mini? And the bluetooth you are using 😊
there's plenty of choices on amazon that do similar things. This one can pair two phones at once which I never use. I liked that the charger comes with an extra USB port which comes in handy to charge my phone.
Note that you'll have to buy a ground loop isolator:
This is used to get rid of the hissing/buzzing noise that seems to happen without it. It will also slightly lower the output volume from the phone but you can just up the audio volume in the car. I'll have to take some pics later and post them up for you!
even though I prefer original equipment, The Plug and Play (like parrot, etc,...) are the easier and actually better options than factory Bluetooth,... one cannot simply swap radios, since those are vin specific and programmed for the individual vehicle they are installed
yes, they will be fine, just what width if you go OEM and NM aftermarket on coilovers most will be fine. Unless you are getting some aftermarket coilovers that are slammed.
