2010 Standard Radio - No Sound. Replaced radio still no sound.

I have a 2010 R56S... a few months ago the sound system lost all sound. No sound from any radio function, and no seatbelt dings etc. I have a standard sound system (Mini Boost CD). Checked all fuses etc... and determined it was likely the head unit. I ordered a used head unit off of eBay and just tore apart my dash to switch it out.

After hooking up the new Head Unit, I still have no sound. The radio will lock onto stations fine. There are no errors... it seems fine there is just simply no sound coming out. Not even static.

Thoughts? Did I get a defective replacement head unit? Could the problem be elsewhere? I am at a loss where to look now.

I have a similar problem with no sound coming out of my Harman Kardon system in a 2006 Mini Cooper Convertible . Been diagnosed twice and turns out it is the radio, so if anyone has a replacement radio for sale let me know. It seems that I left the iPod cord plugged in which caused the original problem of car dying if left for 2 or 3 days. I'm not having the car dying problem anymore, but still no tunes in my convertible is sad indeed.

I was able to pick up a used radio on eBay. It turns out that didn't fix my issue, but at least that is an option.

With the HK system, if the radio is turning on but not playing sound, it could also be the amp. I have standard sound so no Amp though.

Just for future reference, I was not able to fix my issue. Some speculation it may be the bluetooth module that is under the front seat. I have simply opted to replace the factory radio with an aftermarket one.
