Found a set of Sport Edition CE in 17x7.5 used for cheap. After looking at lots of photos of Electric Blue MCS's I think I've settled on doing them in black with no machined lip. Now I'm trying to decide on "which black?" I think the gloss might be too much. Any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.
I would give consideration to which one might be the easiest to keep clean. My guess is gloss. From what I've read if you do it with Plasti-dip it's not a big deal if you decide you want to change it.
Thanks for the feedback. Good to know about the flat black, that's what I was curious about. I guess it brings up the question of actually clean or appear clean. When I talked to the powdercoating guy he mentioned that the gloss black was nice, but that it showed every single spec of dust or dirt.
I can tell you from many wheel sets of experience that flat black, at least in my opinion, is the absolute easiest to keep "looking" clean. It actually almost never looks dirty.
Some may think I'm joking, but long before Plasti Dip came along me and all of my VW buddies used to spray our wheels, and other parts, with Hi Heat Charcoal Grill paint. It left an amazing flat, super even finish on everything. And, it dries in about 2 minutes, literally.
I used to take my VW's to shows and would have a can with me for quick touch ups! That stuff was amazing. It looked just as good as a decent powder coat job.

Go with plasti dip anthracite, looks awesome and you can change it if you don't like it.
