Hi all,
Just brought a 2009 Clubman JCW with 40k back from Austin, TX. This should be a nice complement to my 1975 Clubby. Ran a Carfax report-nothing suspect. Had a fun ride that included cooking one of the fairly worn tires on the Tail of the Dragon-replaced the set with non run flats along the way. Who'd have thought you could run 30 miles on a run flat with the guts hanging out. Took it to the local dealer to check a few things-long story less long-timing chain and oil filter housing gaskets thingy getting done along with some little odds and ends. Lots of info on here-any thoughts on preventative are welcome-OCC/Seafoam treatments etc-preferably evidence based
. My only plan now is 5k oil changes and regular monitoring of level.
