R56 Searching for Cadillac of Exahust Manifolds
Searching for Cadillac of Exahust Manifolds
Who has gone with an aftermarket exhaust manifold? I am looking to build for a stage two tune and am interested in doing the manifold. I plan on replacing the downpipe with a cat-less straight pipe (would like recommendations on this part as well) while replacing the turbo oil line this winter, both aftermarket parts. I was thinking that while I have the downpipe out, maybe I should do the exhaust manifold too. Not sure what the labor involved in that job is going to be. So....
What aftermarket exhaust manifold would be best for power gains and quality?

We've done exhaust manifolds on many of our projects we've had the turbo as the labor is free to do it at that point. I can tell you there is small but noticeble gains in turbo spool and low end torque that in my opinion is worth doing while it is apart. To do it by itself is a lot of work for the small gain.
We keep them in stock when you are ready.

I understand the gains are minimal but considering my intentions for the vehicle, I want to have the proper "infrastructure" in place for when I finally tune it. I would like to see 250 at the crank.
Is it substantially easier to do it with the downpipe out?
