Michellin Premier A/S
Michellin Premier A/S
I am looking for a set of tires for my 2012 MCS.
I have had run-flats in the past; didn;t like the harsh ride. So I would like a set of non RFTs that have good handling but I prefer comfortable ride over top performance. Good tread wear is important as well. And good snow performance as this car will be driven through Chicago winters.
The Michelin Premier A/S seems to fit the bill. Anyone with experience using this tire? Or suggest alternative choices? Thanks!

Premier A/S should be fine for your needs. Worth the expense, Check for special discount offers.
If you have stock suspension you can use 215/45-17 on OEM 17" rims (this gives more choices)

If your willing to give up a bit of ride quality and road noise for snow traction, you can consider Pirelli Cinturato P7 all season Plus

So just to understand you correctly. With stock suspension I can bolt on 17's? So maybe use 16s for winter tires and 17 for summer?
Would be interested to hear that, as I thought the Premier would make a good tire for winter as well. Obviously not a Blizzak, but an acceptable winter performance for an all season tire.

If you don't have an owner's manual you can download a PDF version for free at MINIUSA.com.
If you dont want RF get the Nokian WRG3. I live in Elgin, running these for over a decade on various Subarus and minivans. Last 50K, has winter rated traction , as good as any performance winter tire I've had and better than any factory all season in summer I've had. And no need to change tires every season.
There is a RF version WR D3, I actually asked probably the biggest Nokian dealer in Chicagoland- Suburban- about getting some for my justa Mini. There are none in stock in the US and no idea when available!!
