This John Cooper Works sport steering wheel fits in the location of your current steering wheel as a direct swap out piece from MINI.

Leather wraps the location the full steering wheel (all leather), there are seams between leather sections.

Requires removal of the airbag and older steering wheel.

Professional installation recommended.

Not for Automatics with paddle shifters.

I sold my JCW Countryman before it even hit 10,000 miles. It was mint. This wheel was never put on the car - I bought it for later, expecting to keep the car forever, but then ended up selling it.

 

RealOEM doesn't list this part as being compatible with the 1st Gen MINI ...

 

ECS Tuning site says it fits all MINI's, so I posted it based on that. I've adjusted the listing to exclude 1st Gen, to be safe.

The listing at ECS Tuning is wrong. 1st gen and 2nd gen steering wheels are not interchangeable because the steering column spines are different.

But there is another problem. The steering wheel in your photos do not match the product in your links to ECS or ShopMINIUSA. Your photos show a standard steering wheel with red stitching (like the one that comes with factory JCW model or with the JCW interior package).

The thicker OEM accessory John Cooper Works steering wheel has different seams and is actually not available with red stitching.



Where did you purchase the steering wheel, and what was the part # in the order?

 

Updated to reflect the correct part number. It is the same as the wheel fitted to my JCW from the factory, which is available with red stitching, but with the carbon centre insert. Clearly, I'm not an expert at this, but the wheel is OEM and exactly as featured in the photographs.

 

The fits key when you go on our site is wrong on this part for just searching the site, we are working on that bug, but when you select your MINI from the drop down its correct in the fitment.
